This isn’t just for show—it stops the filament from evaporating, creating a loop that keeps the lamp running hot without burning out too quickly. A word of warning on the power. 3000W at 220V is a heavy lift for any power supply. We’ve tuned these to blast out high heat density across the whole tube, giving you that instant infrared hit. But here’s the thing: it’s a lot of juice. Please, double-check your wiring and sockets. If they aren’t rated for this kind of draw, you’re going to see some nasty burn-out at the connection points. It’s just not worth the risk. Why quartz? We use high-purity quartz because it doesn’t freak out when the temperature swings wildly. More importantly, it lets shortwave infrared radiation pass straight through. The heat doesn’t get trapped in the glass; it goes exactly where you want it—straight into your material. If you go with a coated version, it changes the game a bit. Depending on the spec, that coating either bounces the heat back to the source or focuses it into a tight beam.
