Getting the Heat Right
Wood drying and edge-banding are picky. You need the heat to actually sink into the veneer, not just sit on top. We use shortwave infrared for this. It hits the wood fast and penetrates deep. By dialing in the wattage and voltage, we make sure your workpiece hits the right temperature in seconds. One quick tip: these are high-wattage tubes. They put out a lot of heat. Just double-check that your cooling fans and vents are doing their job. If the machine gets too choked up with heat, the filaments will burn out way faster than they should.
Built to Take a Beating
Rapid cycling is brutal on glass. To handle that thermal shock, we use high-purity quartz. It’s tough. We also offer a few different connectors, like R7s or Sk15, depending on what your machine uses. It’s not just about making it fit—it’s about making sure the electrical contact is rock solid so you don’t get any arcing under high loads. Some of our tubes even have special coatings. These push the heat toward the wood where it belongs, rather than wasting energy heating up the metal frame of your machine.
The Swap
Replacing a lamp shouldn’t be a project. We match the electrical resistance and luminosity of the originals so your PID controllers don’t freak out or throw an error code. You just wire it up exactly like the old one. No rewriting PLC logic. No swapping out your power supply. You just pop the old one out, slide ours in, and get back to work.
