If you’re running SACMI rotary machines, you know they move fast. Really fast. When you’re working at that kind of cadence, you only have a tiny window to get that PET preform heated up. If your IR lamps take too long to wake up or struggle to hit peak temperature the second they’re needed, you’re in trouble. You end up with uneven walls or, even worse, blow-outs that kill your productivity. That’s exactly why we built our lamps to kill that response lag. The secret is in the heat density. To keep up with those quick cycles, we use high-wattage halogen setups. By pushing more voltage through a shorter tube, we can cram a lot of power into a small space. The result? A massive spike of infrared radiation the moment you flip the switch. Just a heads-up: these tubes pull a lot of juice. Make sure your electrical cabinets are actually built to handle that initial surge, or you’ll be dealing with a different kind of headache. Inside, the halogen cycle keeps the filament from evaporating too quickly, so your heat stays steady for thousands of hours. We also tweaked the filament diameter to get rid of “thermal inertia.” In plain English: the lamp gets hot faster than your average industrial heater. No waiting around. Swap them and get back to work We made these as simple drop-in replacements. They use standard connectors, so you don’t have to mess around with the machine chassis or rewrite your wiring map. Because these lamps run hot and hard, the connection points usually take the most abuse. If you notice your heat output dipping, check the connectors first—it’s usually oxidation, not a dead filament. My advice? Swap them out during your scheduled downtime.
